ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Somorrostro: El mar baila por la playa, awarded the Melómano de Oro, is a tribute to Barcelona composer Enrique Escudé-Cofiner, known for his popular music in the 1950s and 60s, but whose more complex works were forgotten. This album revives some of his piano pieces through guitar duo transcriptions by Maria Camahort, who performs alongside Anders Clemens. The album features works such as Estampas Gitanas and two Intermezzos, highlighting Cofiner’s subtlety and mysticism, along with a composition by Camahort in homage to the composer.
