In “Salgado en seis cuerdas”, guitarist Julia Villarroel presents her debut album, a 50-minute production exploring the works of Luis H. Salgado, one of Ecuador’s most prominent composers, and the renowned Brazilian Heitor Villa-Lobos. The album features Julia’s own transcriptions for both duo and solo guitar, showcasing her dedication and deep understanding of these composers’ music. With the collaboration of her duo partner, Lucija Štivčević, “Salgado en seis cuerdas” merges the lyricism and complexity of Latin American music, offering a rich and evocative listening experience.
