“La vela que no se apaga” is a work for classical guitar that explores the richness of timbre and expressiveness through an unusual technique of tremolo on two strings, creating an enveloping and fluid texture. The harmonies are evocative and poetic, shaping an introspective atmosphere that guides the listener through a soundscape full of nuances.

The piece was awarded a Special Mention in the Miquel Llobet Composition Competition for Guitar (III edition, 2022) and is dedicated to the memory of María Dolores Bouvard.
