Alba Nova—translated from Valenciano as “New Dawn”—is a bold and evocative project that brings together sixteen world-premiere recordings. At its heart are collaborations with four of Spain’s leading contemporary guitar composers: Marco Smaili, Maria Camahort, Javier Salvador, and Pablo Grau, each contributing a distinct voice to a vibrant, modern repertoire.

Rooted in the rich cultural landscape of Valencia and the wider Mediterranean, Alba Nova seeks to weave together past and present—echoing historical traditions while embracing new artistic horizons. The project reflects a deep sense of place, where music becomes a meeting point for memory, identity, and innovation.
