Hugo Moltó is one of the most outstanding Spanish classical guitarists of his generation. His intelligent and refined musicality, combined with a high level of technical and instrumental mastery, the result of his training with Ignacio Rodes, make him an artist with a distinctive, confident and original voice.

His international career took off after winning First Prize at the XVII International “Ciudad de Coria” Competition, shortly followed by his debut at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York. Since then, he has performed in major concert halls and festivals across Europe and the Americas, including the Miami Classical Guitar Society and the Bonner Meisterkonzerte Klassische Gitarre. His career has been recognised with prizes at more than 15 international competitions.

As a soloist, he has collaborated with various orchestral ensembles, including the Madrid Metropolitan Orchestra, the Valencia Orchestra, the St. George Symphony Orchestra, the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, and the Ordu Symphony Orchestra (Turkey).

Alongside his concert career, he combines performance with research, teaching, and the creation of projects that seek to expand the possibilities of the classical guitar recital. This artistic curiosity is particularly embodied in SONATinAS, an immersive staged project that draws on the guitar repertoire and proposes a new way of experiencing the recital, integrating music, spoken word, image, and space.
