Cantos del Rapsoda brings together four Rhapsodies and three Interludes for guitar by David del Puerto (Madrid, 1964), one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Spanish music. Written between 2016 and 2020, these works conceive form as a space of controlled freedom, where lyricism, rhythmic drive and resonance merge into an organic and expressive discourse.

The guitar is treated as a true micro-orchestra, with great timbral richness and a virtuosity always at the service of the music.

Performed by Eduardo Inestal, dedicatee of one of the rhapsodies, the album is also the result of an intense creative dialogue between composer and performer. His interpretation, marked by technical precision and musical depth, reveals these works not merely as formal constructions, but as living music, born from the exchange between writing and sonic breath.
