“Sonatina” is a three-movement solo guitar piece inspired by Paul Auster’s novel Mr. Vertigo.
The emotions, atmospheres and ideas of the story are translated into musical gestures, where an intimate, lyrical melody intertwines with an extended modal harmony.

Composed in 2022, this piece is dedicated to guitarist and composer Marco Smaili.
